Welcome to the Wilton Riding for the Disabled Association
We are now looking at starting riding for individual and independent riders. We will be contacting our existing riders who we consider can cope with these restrictions, in the next week or two. We are thrilled to be starting riding again, even at this low level of activity. We very much hope to open out the riding to more individuals and schools, just as soon as we are able to do so.
We have however had to temporarily suspend all of our usual fundraising activities, so our income stream has now substantially dropped.
Our 16 wonderful, loyal horses and ponies still need to be fed and cared for, during this period. We have therefore launched a fundraising appeal. To donate, please click on the link below:-
Alternatively send a cheque payable to 'Wilton RDA' to The Treasurer Wilton RDA, Pembroke Centre, Home Farm Road, Wilton Salisbury SP2 8PJ. Please enclose details of your email address, so we can acknowledge receipt of cheques by email, to save costs.
Now we are all staying at home....
Instead of buying 2 cups of coffee, buy a bale of hay for £5
Instead of a trip to the cinema, buy a sack of supplementary feed for £25
Instead of a meal out for two, pay for the farrier for a pony £50.
Thank you for your donations and please keep them coming - every penny helps!
We have over 140 riders for whom we provide life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities for which we do not charge.
Riders range from 3 to 83 years and a wide range of disabilities are catered for.
We are a community of riders, volunteers and supporters all working together in a very rewarding and fun environment.
Please contact us to find out more - new friends are always welcome.
